2022 Chardonnay By Farr ‘GC’ Chardonnay

Now that the vineyards and winemaker have fully matured By Farr is perhaps our finest wine producer. The quality and consistency is outstanding. Nick Farr has dedicated the wine to his mentor and father, Gary and somewhat cheekily used Gary’s initials ‘GC’ in the name. Regardless of what a precious Burgundian make think of this the wine is certainly ‘Grand’ in style and quality. The fruits is sourced from several sites that have varying exposure and mineral composition. This adds to the complexity of the wine which has a variety of citrus and stone fruit along with some mineral elements. The finish is impressively long and this is a Chardonnay that will benefit with several years in the cellar.
